Help 10 years old Adhayan Fight Relapse of Leukemia

Hello friends, family, and kind strangers,

My name is Bigya Gyawali, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beloved 10-year-old nephew, Adhyan Gautam, a curious and intelligent boy from Kohalpur, Nepalgunj, a small town in mid-western Nepal.

In April 2024, he was diagnosed with leukemia, and our whole world turned upside down. He bravely underwent eight months of intensive chemotherapy in Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital in New Delhi, India. His recovery was slow but steady, and he was finally discharged in December 2024 with hopes of a normal life again, with follow-ups scheduled every three months.

Sadly, in March 2025, he started experiencing the similar symptoms again- high fever, bruises, fatigue and blood in vomit. After follow-up tests, doctors confirmed a rare and heartbreaking relapse of his blood cancer. This new round of treatment is expected to be even more complex and expensive. Doctors told us that this is a rare and aggressive form of relapse. To save his life, Adhayan now needs urgent chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant, a treatment that is both medically and financially overwhelming.

Adhayan’s father works as an accountant in a restaurant and supports his wife and daughter as well. His parents have already spent their life savings during the first round of treatment and is now facing severe financial hardship.
